Integrative Therapist

As an Integrative Therapist, I enjoy working with different theories and modalities according to the presentation, life experience and personality of my clients. Not all theories suit all clients, and my strong empathy and intuition guides me. These are the methods I work with:

Person-centred therapy: Meeting the client where they are at. Focusing on the core conditions of congruence as a therapist, UPR (unconditional positive regard) and genuine and accurate empathy. I am ALWAYS on your side and always rooting for your mental health recovery.

Mindfulness and CBT – Often the client has been troubled by negative thoughts, a sense of isolation, chronic stress, relationship issues and a sense of isolation. I help you untangle your inner critic, slow down, heal your nervous system and live in the present moment.

Gestalt – I work with you in the here and now. I encourage you to notice uncomfortable trapped emotions as you discuss your issues. Is there ‘unfinished business’ from the past? How might you create new healthy boundaries? What positive changes are possible within the field of your life?

Internal Family Systems or Parts work – We all have conflicting parts. For example, we might be very ambitious in our career yet derailed by anxiety and self-doubt often. In Parts therapy, I help you figure out which parts are younger, more afraid, shamed or stuck. I help you recognise and cope with triggering situations with compassion and confidence and to access your true unburdened SELF.

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy/Somatic Therapy – Often my clients present with a dysregulated nervous system. There may be intense anxiety presenting as anger issues, relationship breakdown, social anxiety and emotional overwhelm. This is often followed by low mood, fatigue and depression. I help you the client to notice, heal and regulate your nervous system by listening to the wisdom of your inner body reactions and helping you respond with self-compassion.

Trauma Recovery – Due to transgenerational and childhood trauma, you may feel helpless and hopeless that you cannot heal from your past. You may be plagued by bad memories and experiences. I am confident as a therapist that I can help you to heal from trauma, always at your own pace. Healing is absolutely possible.

Psychodynamic/ Attachment theory – By gently exploring your past and present attachment wounds, I can help you figure out how to move from anxious, avoidant and insecure attachment styles to secure. Your life and relationships have the power to be transformed.

Existential Life Coaching – I will help you to begin to live life on your own terms and according to your dreams and desires. Are you sacrificing your own happiness in order to serve others? Are you burdened by societal and gender expectations? If you had one goal for your life, what is it? Do you have a correct life balance or are you a chronic over worker? Are you making time for play and creativity? Do you need to create more boundaries with others to protect your own peace? You can redesign your life at any point, and I am here to help you.
